Ziploc Omelets

Use this recipe to make individual omelets on those mornings when you have a full house.  A great idea for sleepovers and family reunions. 

Directions

  1. Crack two eggs into a quart sized Ziploc bag.  Shake to scramble them.
  2. Add seasonings and desired omelet additions such as mushrooms, onions, cheese, tomatoes, sausage, etc.  Shake to mix well.
  3. Remove all the air from the bag and seal.
  4. Prepare a large pot of boiling water.  Add up to 8 Ziploc omelets at once and cook for 13 minutes.
  5. Remove Ziploc omelet from the boiling water and cut the top to remove the omelet.

    Sounds like a good way to make breakfast on mornings when I don’t have time to stand in front of the stove. I may give this a try.
