Columbia Heights Day

Was a HUGE success.

The field was full of families and urbanites taking it all in.  The petting zoo had a camel, a real live camel as well as a cow, sheep, goat, ducks, rabbits, and other animals.

The Tivoli North Business Association showed up with snacks to sample as well as news that Thai Tanic II will be opening in mid-September.

Quiet Mind Yoga conducted morning yoga and distributed information on their upcoming classes and seminars.

And Sticky Fingers sponsored the cupcake eating contest.  This was by far my favorite event of the day.  The contestant pool was stacked with residents, local business employees, as well as well as the staff of local politicians.  The contest was won by Matt — who stated that he was “in it to win it”.

It was a great day and I can’t WAIT for next year’s Columbia Heights Day.
